Marketing & Social Media Associate
We’re currently hiring for a Marketing & Social Media Associate to help grow ONO’s digital presence and connect with our community across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Role Overview
This role will touch multiple aspects of ONO’s marketing, including but not limited to working with content creators and agency partners to develop organic and paid content for ONO’s social channels and advertising, creating marketing assets and content, supporting influencer marketing, overseeing email campaigns, developing wholesale relationships, communicating with customers through community management, ideating and executing on new marketing opportunities, and supporting with trade shows.
This role blends thoughtful strategy and creativity with daily hands-on execution. You’ll work closely with the founder and teammates to keep the business running smoothly and growing! As a startup, there will be projects that pop up that don’t fit into a job description, so you should be willing (and excited!) to get to know and help with all aspects of building an e-commerce brand.
Key Responsibilities

Develop content calendars and content in partnership with creators, agency partners, and customers (UGC) across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and more.

Own the coordination and rollout of marketing pushes by collaborating with various partners, ensuring content aligns with marketing goals, and is posted on-schedule. Includes overseeing production workflows.

Drive influencer and creator partnerships, managing outreach, seeding, and collaboration logistics.

Support with new product launches (Kickstarter campaigns and DTC), developing assets across all phases of the marketing journey including launch campaigns, email, and website landing pages.

Work alongside the founder on a variety of one-off projects including but not limited to wholesale relationship building, trade shows, seasonal campaigns, brand collaborations, and more.

Maintain and optimize marketing calendars and project trackers in Monday.com for seamless team coordination.

Analyze social performance metrics and translate insights into actionable content and engagement recommendations.

Foster community relationships by responding to DMs, comments, and mentions with thoughtful replies.

Stay ahead of social and design trends to keep ONO’s content innovative, relevant, and engaging.
Skills
-
Project Management: Strong organizational skills to plan content calendars, manage timelines, and coordinate with various partners. Experience with Monday.com.

Social Media Strategy: Deep understanding of platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and trends to drive engagement and reach.

Content Creation: Experience with Photoshop, Canva, and CapCut (or other video editing) to create on-brand content, and ability to write engaging, on-brand captions and customer-facing communications.

Community Engagement: Responsive and empathetic, able to authentic relationships and fostering a positive, supportive community.

Analytics: Proficient with social media insights tools to track performance and guide strategy.

Communicative, Collaborative, and Hands-On: Strong written and spoken communication skills, comfortable working cross-functionally with various partners, and energized by the opportunity to own tasks and get your hands dirty.
Qualifications

Experience: 4+ years in marketing, social media, content creation, or community management (consumer product experience preferred)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience and skills are equally valued

Portfolio: Examples of successful posts, campaigns, or community initiatives that show creativity and strategy.

Customer Focus: Strong sense of community and customer care in all interactions.

Digital Marketing Knowledge: Either familiar with social media marketing, content marketing, and SEO, or willing to learn!
Compensation & Growth
Phase 1: Trial Period (0–90 days)

Hourly compensation based on experience. This phase focuses on evaluating task execution, cross-functional communication, and fit within the team 20-40 hrs/week.
Phase 2: Transition to Full-Time (Post-90 days)
Upon successful completion of the initial trial period, the role will convert to a salaried, full-time position. Baseline monthly salary will be established based on market benchmarks, scope of work, and candidate performance.
